snafu Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Has anybody bothered to download Service Pack 3? It says it has new functionality but the user won't notice it. What kind of an expiation is that? Anyway I'm working on a computer and was doing updates and came across it. Sometimes these updates cause more headaches than they cure. What bugs me is that it didn't try to install itself with the automatic updates. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
Phreakwars Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I've been using service pack 3 for about 6 months now, never had a prob. http://justbs.us/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/phreakwars/servicepack3.jpg&key=0270905c9a564946bfe4b1aece6e3c959feb37ffc40c2e325ab031243627c14e . . Old Salt Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I installed it after my crash. Don't seem to have had any problems, but I don't do anything fancy with my 'puter. It was doin' some wierd stuff on its own the other day, though. Quote Been wrong before, could be wrong now, will probably be wrong again. Don't take yourself so dang seriously. ;)

snafu Posted June 29, 2008 Author Posted June 29, 2008 I didn't even know it was out. I thought that if and when it came out it would install with the other automatics but it didn't. I installed it on the computer I'm working on but it won't install on mine. It just frezes up. I'll try it again but if it dosn't go I won't bother. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
Moderators IWS Posted June 29, 2008 Moderators Posted June 29, 2008 I didn't even know it was out. I thought that if and when it came out it would install with the other automatics but it didn't. I installed it on the computer I'm working on but it won't install on mine. It just frezes up. I'll try it again but if it dosn't go I won't bother. When I installed it at work on three computers there, it kept freezing up and I would close out and restart the install. It will pick up where it left off. snafu Posted June 29, 2008 Author Posted June 29, 2008 I finally got it to install. I had to uninstall and re-install my AVAST anti-virus afterwords though. It wouldn't recognize it until I did. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
