Ummmm, I think it's the opposite..

We aint the ones shipping your jobs overseas and trying to sell you our ramblers for $750,000 because "what do I care? I wont be here..

Plus, all our so called, self proclaimed "leaders" have wrinkles and need diapers.. :D

Lordy.. what has become of us?

I love everybody, really.. Well on my way to being old people.. ;) Big 40 this year.. Hoping I get a box of huggies..

Irony is....

Perpetually trusting the people who cause the worlds problems, to fix the worlds problems..

Maybe that's not irony.. perhaps that's just stupidity.. I don't fukking know. Maybe there is no such thing as irony, only stupidity.

Maybe this is irony...

The free-est country on Earth having a federal government who is more involved in their citizens daily lives than all the non free-est countries on Earth combined.

Naaahhh.. not irony, that's just bullsh*t..

Black is white.. up is down.. good is bad.. bad is good..

Where's that new he/she that wanted to argue? Seems to have disappeared.. How ironic

Irony (to some wacked out Canadaian anyway) =

It's a black fly in your Chardonnay

It's a death row pardon two minutes too late

It's like rain on your wedding day

It's a free ride when you've already paid

It's the good advice that you just didn't take

It's a traffic jam when you're already late

A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break

It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife

It's meeting the man of my dreams

And then meeting his beautiful wife

Isn't it ironic, don'tcah think?

I hate signatures, so I don't have one.

wait....

I used to think that about her song too, but most of them actually fall into one of the definitions of irony called dramatic or tragic Irony

Irony (iro-ny)Pronunciation:ˈī-rə-nē also ˈī(-ə)r-nē

Function:noun

Inflected Form(s):plural iro?nies

Etymology:Latin ironia, from Greek eirōnia, from eirōn dissembler

Date:1502

1: a pretense of ignorance and of willingness to learn from another assumed in order to make the other's false conceptions conspicuous by adroit questioning —called also Socratic irony

2 a: the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning b: a usually humorous or sardonic literary style or form characterized by irony c: an ironic expression or utterance

3 a (1): incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result b: incongruity between a situation developed in a drama and the accompanying words or actions that is understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play —called also dramatic irony, tragic irony

irony - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.? ~ Thomas Sowell

Perhaps it may be examples of cosmic irony: events that appear as if in mockery of the fitness or rightness of things. However, in the song...her definition of irony is extraordinarily thin, but in all actuality...I really don't care :P
