snafu Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I was 14 and ridding my bike home. I had to get home fast or I would be late. For some reason I had no shoes but I had on socks. I followed a car onto a busy intersection. The bike I was ridding was an old piece of crap that needed you to push back on the peddles to stop it. My feet slipped of the peddles and there was no stopping. As I entered a car was coming right at me. My life passed before my eyes. Everything was moving in slow motion so I was able to see it in its entirety. I was dead! But... Somehow I was able to lift my leg up just a few centimeters and as I reviewed my life I miss the car. I will never forget that as long as I live. Now I've already posted two other near life experiences so its your turn. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
RaE Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Yes. I have. According to the doctor, by about a centimeter. Quote "Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to ensure peace, security, and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good." - George Washington
Ali Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 A few years ago a friend and I were driving on the highway and a semi was beginning to pass us in the passing lane (she was driving). Suddenly some IDIOT pulled out with his truck pulling a boat, putting himself in the direct path of both us and the semi. As the idiot crossed the highway, the semi was clear and he kicked it in the ass so we could pull into the passing lane otherwise we were going to hit the idiot. Idiot SLOWED DOWN, and I swear on all that is Holy the motor of the boat was in the direct path of my head. I was going to die if someone didn't do something. At the very last second, my friend saw she was clear in the passing lane and swerved into it. We had maybe 2 feet of clearance between her front bumper and the semi in front of us. That was scary! We still discuss it and both of us still think about it when we're traveling and get to that same spot on the highway. Quote
