Students Turn On Narcissistic Anti-War Teachers – Want Them Fired

The ugly side of liberalism…

Two crazed anti-American teachers held up anti-war signs during a high school assembly honoring 6 graduating students who signed up to join the military.

Teacher Marybeth Verani said, “I’m showing students in a democracy how to exercise dissent.”

The two far left teachers ruined the moment for the graduating seniors. What a disgusting and completely selfish act.

But, the two far left teachers probably didn’t expect this…

Yesterday, a group of students held a rally outside the school demanding that the teachers be fired.

The Boston Herald reported, via Free Republic:

Some students are calling for the firing of two Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School teachers who held an anti-war sign during a school assembly Friday, reports the

.

History teacher

Marybeth Verani

and English teacher

Adeline Koscher

made their silent protest during the part of the assembly in which school officials recognized graduating seniors who are entering the military.

“They not only imposed their political will, they imposed it at the wrong time,” said D-Y junior Andrew Bowles Jr., who organized an after-school protest yesterday that drew about 30 students.

Verani is a history teacher? …Can you imagine the anti-American filth she must be flinging at the children in her classroom?

Here’s more from the Cape Cod Times:

Verani and Koscher tucked their sign away and sat while the names of the six students entering the U.S. Marine Corps, Army and National Guard were announced.

They remained seated while the rest of those at the assembly gave the students a standing ovation.

“Standing and applauding is a sign of support for the decision these people have made,” Verani said. “I want them to be home and alive and well and going to college and dating and having kids and coaching Little League.”

The protest struck the wrong note with many attendees, Jenks said.

“Large numbers of students and faculty were upset,” he said. “This is a recognition ceremony, not a classroom debate.”

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.? ~ Thomas Sowell

The only place for politics in education would be if the students were studying political science or history.

And how exactly was the life these teachers now enjoy possible without the military securing that life for them?

This is something that really puzzles me about these far left folks.

Holy Crap! Is TJ a journalist? I would have sworn that this was his rhetoric.

Why do you have to turn everything into an excuse to take a shot at me em?

Quit whining TJ... ugh..

About the post...

Those teachers are getting what they freaking deserve.

I hope that they are fired. I'm proud of the students for getting together and standing up for what they believe!

If they fail at having the teachers removed... they are screwed if they end up in those classes next year!! :P

I can't complain about it if she does not first take the shot at me right?

Why is it nobody ever says a single word against those who make the off topic attacks like the one emkay just made, but if "I" point out what they did, suddenly even you have to say I am wrong for responding? The day people like you hold "both sides" equally responsible is the day I no longer feel compelled to point it out when they take the unreasonable shots.

Imagine how nice it would be if people like emkay actually limited their comentary to the topics.

They will fail, the only union stronger than the teacher's union is the UAW, but I am still very proud of them for standing up against the radical teachers.

And your right, more than just those teachers will be out to get the kids for their protest, teachers are a tight group, worse than cops, stand up to them and a kid will have hell to pay.

And the original person taking cowardly shots at me in the first place makes them look good?

Like I said, if it is wrong for me to reply, it is also wrong for people like emkay to make the attacks as well that prompted the reply, but not one person besides snaff has ever said one word against that.

If some of you guys would at least admit publically that the shots made by emkay and company was wrong I might not feel compelled to point them out as often, but honestly your silence is saying your just as involved in the attacks as the person making them, so why would I care what you said about me responding? Maybe one day you guys will get tired of the crap and go after the source in people like emkay who can't stop the personal attacks.

Until that day, I will continue to point it out when someone like her does ugly things like that.

I'm sorry TJ. Builder assures me a "turkey slap" will do for my atonement. If you feel my punishment should be more stringent please advise.

I would just be happy if you and a couple other people would talk about the topic and stop derailing every topic to make it all about taking any excuse to flame me.
