wez Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 What a display Adrian Peterson put on for the beloved Vikes last week.. In his 8th game as a pro he sets the single game rushing record with 296 yards, unreal. Did it against a pretty good San Diego defense and the fact that we have no passing game, allowing other teams to stack the line scrimmage with 8 guys makes it all that much more impressive. Guys gonna be a huge star.. Think of all the great backs in the history of the game.. and the record goes to a rookie... Congrats to him.. jhony5 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The future looks good for running backs in the league. So many big time 1st and 2nd season backs. Mahroney, Addai, Lynch... But Peterson is just a freak. I haven't gotten a chance to see a Minnesota game yet. Gonna watch the re-air of the game on NFL network tonight. I'm still mourning the Colts loss to the hated Patriots. I hate them with a passion. Poor sportsmanship personified. They accused Indianapolis of pumping in enhanced crowd noise just because of a CBS audio error. Despite the press release by CBS taking blame for it, which was only heard by television audiences, Bostonians are still crying about it. They got caught cheating in a most inappropriate manner by videotaping signals. They risk all just to run up the score and embellish their stats. And to make it even worse, coach Belichek snubbed coach Dungy after the game when they met at mid-field. Extending his hand then pulling it back and walking away from him. Looking forward to the likely rematch in the playoffs. Despite the shenanigans, the Pats are a damn good team... maybe the best ever. Colts aint nothing to sneeze at either... eddo Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Go... Atlanta?... *shrugs* Does Atlanta have a pro football team? I know that Arizona is hoping to have one in the next couple years... Quote I hate signatures, so I don't have one. wait....
Times Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Does Atlanta have a pro football team? I know that Arizona is hoping to have one in the next couple years... I'm not sure but I hear they have some great dog training camps there........ Colts/Pats, one of the best games I have seen this year, I just wondered what happened to the Colts, they seemed to have their stuff together until the 4th quarter and just gave up, too bad because I thought they were going to win at the rate they were going. The rematch will be interesting I bet. Quote Most if not all stereotypes hold some truth. ?The politicians don't just want your money. They want your soul. RaE Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 yeah... they had con-vick as the qb... remember? Quote "Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. The rematch will be interesting I bet. What was grossly overlooked by the media is the extent of the Colts injuries, and I believe this is what did the Colts in. Not only was Marvin Harrison out, but also Anthony Gonzalez was injured and out after the first quarter. Shrinking their WR core to the point where we had to insert a #3 TE to play WR. In total we had 2 of our starting 4 WR out, 2 of our 3 starting linebackers were out, this was huge. As well, Tony Ugoh, the starting LT was out. The offensive injuries are what I saw as the issue on that last drive. 1st Down; #3 WR Aaron Moorehead (In for Harrison) drops a wide open 1st down pass. Incomplete. 2nd Down; Brain fletcher our #3 TE (In for Gonzalez) runs a bad route. Incomplete. 3rd Down; The pocket collapses, the receivers don't come up, Ugoh's backup lets go of the rush and Manning gets whacked, fumbling the ball. We flat out played the Pats for 51 minutes. The Patriots smacked us in the mouth, hard, in the last 9 minutes. If you're wondering why I keep saying "us" and "we", it's because I live in Indy, have been a fan since 1983 and I've attended countless dozens of home games. I sure hope we get a rematch in Foxboro this January. Quote [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I'm better than normal. I'm abnormal.
snafu Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I need to get back into football. I only like it when I'm either betting on it or playing fantasy football. It's been awhile. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
