snafu Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Democrats who think it's going to be a cakewalk into the White House next November had best remember one name: Condoleezza Rice. Hehe.. I swear I'm all giddy with the idea. :D I truly think she should've run for president but the Vice will do. With Rice on the ticket, the GOP would have somebody to get enthusiastic about. The Secretary of State is immensely popular with Republicans. For a party that up to now has been clueless about how to run against either a woman or a person of color, Condoleezza Rice is pure political gold. Vice President Rice? Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
Old Salt Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Hehe.. I swear I'm all giddy with the idea. :D I truly think she should've run for president but the Vice will do.Vice President Rice? I'm not so sure, snafu. The article pooh-poohs the fact, but Rice was the National Security Advisor to Pres Bush in the runup to the Iraq invasion. All of those incorrect reports on WMD passed through her hands on the way to the President. The far-right loonies don't like Romney, but I think he'd make a better choice than Rice. Heck, why doesn't he ask Ron Paul? Quote Been wrong before, could be wrong now, will probably be wrong again. Don't take yourself so dang seriously. ;)
snafu Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Well it's still just a rumor but I saw it on the morning news that on a recent poll a McCain, Rice ticket would be something like 49% as apposed to 47% for a Obama, Clinton ticket. If she runs the republicans would blow the democrats out of the water. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*

OK, we know that whatever a politician says doesn't mean anything, but Ms Rice has said outright during several interviews that she has no desire to run for VEEP. She worded it to the effect that she hasn't been actively searching for the office. I think the GOP is gonna pressure her to do so though. It?s almost a slam dunk for the them if she dose. Phreakwars Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 That's odd you would say that. Most DEMS are praying she gets into it. They got tons of ammo on Condi they are itching to throw out to smear that campaign. And of course, you have Powell who is showing a very strong hint that he supports Obama. I just looked at that poll, a 3% lead with 5% undecided and a ?4% margin of error isn't much to brag about. WNBC/Marist Poll NYS March 2008 . . Quote NewSucks500.com The return of the Suckage
hugo Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 It would only work if things are going well in Iraq in November. That is improbable. Hillary will drag Obama down an Obama/Richardson ticket would work better. Quote I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts. ? Will Rogers
Old Salt Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 It's also possible if she can settle the Israel/Palestine problem. Quote Been wrong before, could be wrong now, will probably be wrong again. Don't take yourself so dang seriously. ;)
snafu Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 I just don't see a Obama, Clinton ticket. Niether one would settle for Vice President. And they would bring eachother down. Quote *NEVER FORGOTTEN*
